Curi-Yaas Convo with Maria Q&A!

Episode 67 and 69 features Maria, a Filipino crossdresser from New York. Here's our little Q&A with her.

How old are you and where you from?

I am 30 years old born in NJ. My parents are 1st generation immigrants from the Philippines.

How long have you crossdressed?

Since a young age. I've been seriously dressing for 9 years.

Are you heterosexual? Bisexual? Unsure?

Heterosexual. 1 on the Kinsey scale.

Are you currently in a relationship?

I am! I actually started my relationship with my SO as Maria.

How important is passing to you?

It was extremely important when I first started. I still take it into consideration, but not to the same extent.

What would you like to do with your crossdressing moving forward?

I'd like to keep building my wardrobe to include casual attire and continue improving my makeup skills.

Are you public about your crossdressing?

Public to my close friends, coworkers, immediate family, and SO. Not public on social media.

What’s your favorite thing to wear? What would you say your style is?

Dresses and heels! A mix of girly, sophisticated, and chic. 9/10 times I am wearing a skirt but it can range from a flirty a-line to a business pencil skirt.

What do you wish you did differently in your life?

One of my sayings in life is don't regret the things you've done, regret what you haven't done.

What advice would you give to other crossdressers or those questioning their gender or sex?

Confidence is key. Find someone to confide in. This could be online or IRL. Experiment and push your boundaries.

Why did you come on the podcast? [Would you recommend others to come on the podcast?]

I felt my story is relatable yet unique. I have a feel good story that I think other crossdressers can appreciate. I would recommend it as it's nice to talk to another person in the community
